Because of the Coronavirus pandemic and the government’s warning to cease non-essential social contact, the Trustees have decided that we need to close the Village Hall.

We have had many cancellations of hires as people are taking heed of the government’s warning.

The closure will be effective from noon 19 March 2020 until further notice. As I am sure you are aware, it is not possible to estimate an end date for this measure. That is in the hands of others!

Many of the Hall users and, indeed, volunteers and staff whose daily endeavours keep the Hall running are in the government’s defined ‘vulnerable’ category. It is only fair to them that we take measures to safeguard their health and wellbeing.

To maintain the integrity of the Hall cleanliness, access to the Hall will only be allowed by appointment with Tina, the Hall Manager.

If you require access, say, to retrieve property that is stored in the Hall, please make an appointment with Tina to do so. I stress that we will not be operating this as a storage facility. So, access may be limited.

If you are a key holder, please note that the security code on the door entry has been changed; so, you will be unable to access the Hall using your current code. Please do not try.
